Monday, May 12th

  • 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm at Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington

  • Unwind and invite balance in this flowing, gentle yoga class. Our experienced instructors will guide you through a gentle practice suitable for all levels. On Monday nights in the beautiful Tiffany Gallery. Start your week on a positive note.

  • This is a donation-based class that supports the Museum's mission. We created tickets tiered at the levels of 10, 15, and 20. Opting for the higher level tickets makes way for those who can't afford as much. No refunds given on tickets purchased.

Tuesday, May 13th

  • 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm at Three Whistles

  • No partner or dance experience is needed to come out and enjoy! We start with a beginner-friendly lesson, and then open the floor to fun social dancing.

  • Tickets are $12 ahead of time or $15 the day of.

Wednesday, May 14th

Island Yoga (Columbia Island)

  • 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm at Island Time Bar & Grill

  • Join us on the island—Columbia Island, on the banks of the Potomac—for a refreshing yoga flow and a tropical midweek happy hour. We'll roll out our mats on the sprawling lawn of Island Time Bar & Grill (D.C.'s best kept secret!), overlooking the serene marina. Following a fun, all-levels yoga experience to relax your mind and body, enjoy a complimentary tiki beverage (alcoholic or non) and great company. Stay after to nourish your appetite from the delicious menu items, including salads, fish tacos, and the best fries around!

  • All levels welcome; no experience needed. Bring your own mat.

  • Tickets are $28.52 which includes yoga and a drink.

  • 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm in the Barbara M. Donnellan Auditorium at Central Library

  • Local authors Chrissy Boylan and Heather Kirby will present on their collection, "Trans Anthology Project," a curation of experiences from over 200 gender-diverse teens, young adults, and parents. The collection highlights the complexities of navigating gender identity. Gender-diverse youth and parents will find understanding and direction in the words of others, while allies find renewed reason to continue supporting the trans community. The authors' presentation will be followed by a book signing. 

  • First-come, first-served seating.

Mosaic Workshop (Virginia Square/Clarendon)

  • 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Detour Coffee

  • Come craft and party with us! We want to support everyone in connecting with their inner creative and figured what better way than Creating Your Own Mosaic Art! This is a great opportunity to make a gift for a loved one or gift to yourself.

  • In under 2 hours, our creative host will walk you step by step how to create your very own Mosaic Art while infusing laughs and music along the way. This class is beginner-friendly; so no experience necessary! All materials will be provided. You will have the option to create ONE of the following:

    • 2 coasters

    • 1 trivet

Thursday, May 15th

  • 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm at Central Place Plaza

  • A beloved neighborhood tradition is back—Rosslyn Cinema returns for two special nights of outdoor movies, now in a new location! Gather your friends and family for an evening at Central Place Plaza on Thursdays, May 15 and 22.

  • Seating and the bar will open at 6 p.m. and movies will begin around sundown (just after 8 p.m.) to ensure the perfect lighting for the show.

  • 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Campbell Room at Shirlington Library

  • Join members of the Signature Theatre Education Department for this all-skill levels class on taking in the world around you through the full use of your senses. Heighten your awareness of circumstances you might find yourself in, onstage or off, and learn to use your senses to meet whatever challenges present themselves in this interactive, no-cost class.

Friday, May 16th

  • 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at The Commentary

  • Join us for an unforgettable culinary experience as Executive Chef Francecil Ponte and our Sicilian kitchen supervisor, Rita Massa, the beloved "Pizza Queen" from Napoli, take you on a journey into the art of crafting crowd-pleasing pies. During this interactive class, Chef Fran and Rita will share their secrets, tips, and tricks for crafting authentic Italian pizzas. While your creations bake to perfection, step over to our Craft Cocktail station and immerse yourself in a mixology class led by our in-house experts.

Saturday, May 17th

  • 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at UPSIDE on Moore

  • Join us for a fun and creative Melt and Pour Soap Making Class by Patreats Boutique! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the basics of soap making and create your own unique soaps using colorful fragrances and ingredients. 

  • This class is perfect for families, friends, or anyone looking for a creative outlet. Take home 3-4 of your freshly made soaps and enjoy the fruits of your labor! Let's get creative and make some soap magic happen!

  • Tickest are $40 each.

Sunday, May 18th

Paint & Sip (National Landing/Crystal City)

  • 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Water Park

  • Join us on the green for our Sunday "Paint & Sip" Series every 6pm - 8pm at Water Park. Get ready to sharpen your artistic abilities every week during these instructor-led painting sessions. There will be music, food vendors, lawn games, and an array of beverage options to keep the good times flowing.

  • The theme of this week is Monumental Blossoms.

  • Tickest are $30 each.
