I hope Daylight Saving hasn’t thrown you off too much!
As a reminder, tomorrow is Election Day. If you have not already registerd to vote, Virginia has same day registration availble. To learn more about the election, including checking your status and same day voter registration, pelase visit the Virginia Department of Elections website.
Another reminder that Arlington is collecting feedback to update the Transportation Plan for the county. Please share your feedback by November 15th. Your input will help inform the county’s transportation vision, goals, and priorities. The survey can be accessed here.

Bachata Dance Lesson from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Social Dancing is from 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
No partner or dance experience is needed to come out and enjoy! Tickets are $12 ahead of time, $15 day of.

This event has no lesson, just social dancing. Tickets are $10.

Arlington GameFest 2024: Board Game Designer Panel (Ballston/Virginia Square)

This is the County’s annual event to commemorate Veterans Day. This year’s event will feature a Veterans Day Proclamation and U.S. Army’s Brass Quintet.

Artist Talk: Elizabeth Matthews (Westover)
11:00 am - 12:00 pm in the McKinley Room at Westover Library
The Incubator at Arlington Public Library invites you to join us for an artist talk by local artist Elizabeth Matthews as she discusses her collection Chair Paintings. Her exhibit will be on view at Westover Library through December 2024.
Elizabeth Matthews is an oil painter working in the style of New Romanticism using dramatic landscape as a metaphor and setting to reframe challenging life experiences. Matthews lives and works in the Washington, DC metro area.
Registration is recommended. First-come, first-served seating. Light refreshments will be served.
Unscathed Book Talk (Ballston)

This special event features Dr. Mia Settles-Tidwell, as she addresses critical issues which disproportionately affect women of color in the workplace, and women leaders for social justice.
She will share insight on navigating workplace obstacles and the strategies she used to emerge unscathed. This engaging discussion promises to offer valuable perspectives on resilience, empowerment, and success, with light refreshments of course.

The Comedy Karaoke Trivia Funtime Show with Phil Mike (Capital City)
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm at Highline RxR
The Capital City Showcase, the company that produces some of the best events in the DMV, presents a unique blend of entertainment. Bring a team or fly solo and win prizes by dropping knowledge in a trivia competition, then duking it out in a karaoke battle!

Recieve your tickets and then come to the event and swap! All leftover items will be donated to PathForward.

Are you interested in viewing eclectic, lesser-known films? Arlington Library is partnering with Oddball Cinema. Oddball Cinema presents movies that you won’t find at your local multiplex: obscure, unusual, and independent features, as well as occasional classics. The host will introduce the movie, focusing on what makes it “oddball.” After the film, there will be time to discuss it.

Veterans Day Citizens Ropes Competition (National Landing)
All day at Movement Crystal City - Competition finals at 5:30 pm
Celebrate and honor our active duty military and veterans in our annual citizens ropes competition. A light hearted competition intended to build community and raise awareness around issues surrounding the military and veterans communities.
Join us in this endurance style friendly competition. Climb all day, as many climbs as you can cleanly send. The top 5 point earners in each category will climb specially designed competition climbs at 5:30pm. All followed by a party to celebrate all climbers and highlight local military related non-profit organizations.
