Hope you’re having a good week so far! This Saturday, Arlington is hosting its annual MLK Day of Service. To learn about the many projects and ways to volunteer, check out Volunteer Arlington. Tuesday, January 14th

  • 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Busboys and Poets Shirlington

  • Shirlington, VA – Join viral TikTok creator Sprinklestar25 for her album release party at Busboys and Poets in Shirlington on the night of the Wolf Moon. Known for her meditative sound bowl videos and uplifting music, Sprinklestar25’s new album reflects DMV pride, activism, and optimism for the future. The album features a blend of genres, including a lively Go-Go anthem and activist-inspired tracks. The event will include a live performance of one song, giving attendees a chance to celebrate and set intentions for the year ahead. This free event is open to all and invites the community to connect, share energy, and build together.

  • 7:00 pm at Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse (doors open at 6:00 pm)

  • Mismatched cousins David (Jesse Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin) reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the odd-couple's old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.

  • This is part of Arlington Drafthouse’s Oscar Watch Movie series. Tickets are $10.

Wednesday, January 15th

  • 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at Continental Pool Lounge

  • Cuffing season is known as the perfect time to connect with someone special during the cooler months. Whether you're looking for romance, friendship, or simply a great time socializing, this event is for you. All are welcome - come enjoy a fun evening open to everyone 21 and over!

  • Registration is required for this event. The fee is $10 per person, which includes a complimentary drink. A limited number of walk-ins will be accepted at $15, so make sure you secure your spot in advance!

  • 7:30 pm- 9:00 pm at El Rey

  • Come join us for amazing comedy with the hilarious Winston Hodges and friends 1/15 at El Rey!

  • Winston Hodges is from a small town called Farmville in rural Virginia. He has spent his time working comedy clubs with his southern charm and edgy wit. His first time performing he won the competition at the Richmond Funny Bone’s Clash Of Comics, and he has never looked back. You can hear him discussing growing up in a Christian home and working with children who have special needs all while providing a fun and energetic take on all the things we want to say but never do! Come see him and let him keep you laughing and warm your heart!

Thurday, January 16th

Puzzle Exchange (East Falls Church)

  • 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm at One More Page Books

  • Bring in the puzzles you no longer want and exchange them with others! You get some new-to-you puzzles and the chance to talk with other puzzlers.

  • Out & About Note: One More Page Books will be celebrating their 14th birthday on Wednesday, January 28th!

  • 7:00 pm at Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse (doors open at 6:00 pm)

  • An action crime thriller loaded with dangerous situations on every turn as a former inmate goes on a manhunt to find his brothers killer. Starting Desi Alexander, Jess Hilarious, Terry “Goofy” Jones, Alvin Gray and more.

Friday, January 17th

  • 7:00 pm at Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse 

  • Imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, Divine G finds purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men, including a wary newcomer.

  • This is part of Arlington Drafthouse’s Oscar Watch Movie series. Tickets are $10.

Saturday, January 18th

  • 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in National Landing. Check in table location here.

  • The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail will be improving the trail near National Landing. Please bring water, gloves, and wear long sleeves and long pants.

  • 12:00pm - 3:00 pm at Cut Seven Arlington

  • This is the kickoff event for a two week challenge including events. You will receive a bingo card to track your commitment to the 8 dimensions of wellness - including events throughout the two weeks and various 'challenges' that can be done on your own time! (Think: personal practices like meditation & reading, visiting local wellness providers, etc.)

  • Kickoff event is included in your THRIVE ticket - Individual workouts during the challenge are priced at individual studios’ rates!

  • General admission is $44.

Sunday, January 19th

MLK Tribute (Wakefield)

  • 5:00 pm - 6:30pm in the Wakefield High School auditorium

  • Join Arlington County as our comunity honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the MLK Tribute Event.

  • This year's production, Dreams, Faith, and Justice in Action showcases local talent in the form of dance, music, and storytelling while also highlighting local organizations that live out the importance of Dr. King's work right here in Arlington.

  • Consider bringing nonperishable food donations to the event to support the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) and community members in need.

  • The MLK Tribute is Free.

Brandon Brody (Penrose)

  • 7:00pm at Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse (doors open at 6:00 pm)

  • The best word to describe Broady is VERSATILE. Since he can remember, he’s always been drawn to the world of entertainment. Growing up in Silver Spring, MD, Broady loved being the center of attention and humoring others. He was named “Biggest Comedian” by the Senior Class of 2004 at Springbrook High School. Making others laugh came natural to him. Upon graduating college with degrees in Film and Acting, Broady became a radio personality at WPGC FM in D.C. In 2010, Broady decided to take his career to the next level and moved to Los Angeles, CA where he’d pursue acting and comedy and begin developing song parodies under the moniker "Para-Deez". Since then, Broady has toured with Donnell Rawlings and King Bach, appeared on "We Got Next", numerous BET shows including 106 and Park, and Produced the first season of Tru TV's "Laff Tracks". Broady can be most recognized for hosting "Crashletes" on Nickelodeon, and is a cast member on All Def Digital, known best for his quick wits on "Roast Me". Look out for Brandon Broady... "He's on his grind son!”

Monday, January 20th

  • 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm at Ms. Peacock’s Champagne Lounge

  • We can't wait to see you at the ina(ughh)uration to mingle with old + new friends, meet likeminded people and leave feeling better than you did coming in—because who really wants to be home alone on that day? Your ticket includes delicious dinner + dessert, DJ + dancing, professional photography (with photos to be shared after the event), a tarot reader, crafts, giveaways, private event security, and more surprises!   • There will be a limited tab at the beginning of the event, so come early before it runs out! non-alcoholic drinks, coffee/tea, beer, wine and cocktails will be available for purchase all night
