Events & Happenings August 4th - 10th
Hi!
Is this thing on?! Sorry for the impromptu hiatus - truthfully this summer has been busier than expected with work and with wedding planning. Thank you to those of you who have noticed my absence here and have reached out!!
I am hoping to continue posting on a weekly basis! If you have an event that you would like featured, please reach out! I know the weather is hot and the news is bad (read: terrible), but just a reminder that community really makes everything better. Get to know your barista, say hello to your neighbors on a walk, and get involved in your community! It makes a world of difference.
Let’s have a great week!

It was a milestone in the long struggle to extend political representation and voting rights to Black Americans. In partnership with several community organizations, Arlington Public Library's exhibit tells the stories of activists, changemakers and everyday people in Arlington and Northern Virginia who fought for voting rights. Exhibition partners include the Arlington Historical Society, the Black Heritage Museum of Arlington, the League of Women Voters of Arlington and Alexandria City and the NAACP Arlington Branch.
