Tuesday, January 28th

  • 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Central Place Plaza

  • Celebrate Lunar New Year with the Rosslyn BID! Enjoy a Lion Dance performance by Hung Ci Lion Dance Troupe, fortune cookies, and more at this free, family-friendly event!

  • At 6 p.m. Hung Ci Lion Dance Troupe will perform a Lion dance, highlighting a Lunar New Year tradition. Known to be a symbol of power and wisdom, Lion dance performances bring good luck to communities and have been a part of celebrations for centuries. Enjoy ceremonial tea from the Asian American Chamber of Commerce, tea is often shared as a symbol of respect and hospitality.

Wednesday, January 29th

Yoga with Gina (Rosslyn)

  • 7:00 am - 8:00 am at Upside on Moore

  • Join Upside on Moore for a free Yoga class with instructor Gina in the Marigold room. Participants will receive a $5 credit to use at Upside on Moore on the day of the class.

  • Known for her dynamic, creative, and energetic teaching style, Gina expertly blends challenging sequences with fluid transitions, building accessible classes for practitioners of all levels. 

  • 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at One More Page Books

  • Join us to celebrate our 14th Anniversary! We’ll have cookies, snacks, bubbly, and more! Hang out with your favorite booksellers and fellow loyal customers and play a rousing game of “Who Said What?”--where you guess which OMP staffer (past or present) said what ​quip--a true test of how well you know us. If you've ever peeked at the white board on the door to the office, you know how we save these gems to make "future us" laugh. Please RSVP to attend. Admission is $20.

Thursday, January 30th

  • 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Wilson Hardware

  • Get set for an incredible singles happy hour at Wilson Hardware! Our previous event in DC was a sell-out with over 200 of DC's most eligible singles, and now we're gearing up to do it all over again in Arlington! Come join us for an evening filled with mingling, enticing drink specials, and great company. Save the date and spread the word to your single friends—you won't want to miss this, so get your tickets before they sell out!

  • ** Women: Nervous to come alone? We got you. Come a half hour before the event begins (at 6:30pm) to grab a drink, make some friends, and find a wingwoman!

Country Dance Night (Clarendon)

  • 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm at Clarendon Ballroom

  • No partner or dance experience is needed to come out and enjoy! We start with a beginner-friendly lesson, and open the floor to fun social dancing.

  • Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 day of.

Friday, January 31st

  • 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Mason Exhibitions Arlington (3601 Fairfax Drive)

  • Dive into the 1964 Atheneum edition of infamous photobook Nothing Personal, featuring an essay by James Baldwin and the portrait photography of Richard Avedon.

Lunar New Year (Rosslyn)

  • Join us for a Lunar New Year event as we welcome The Year of the Snake with our newest vendor, Little Tiger Dumplings (more details coming…)

    • 9:30 AM: Free Yoga Class: SIGN UP HERE

    • 11:00 AM: Special Chinese Fusion Dishes, from all vendors & ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR begins!

    • 3:30 PM: Raffles on the hour, every hour

    • 5:30 PM: Lion Dance! Come watch a set of traditional lion dancers; fun for the whole family. 

  • 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at The Commentary

  • Join us for an exciting afternoon of cocktail crafting! Whether you're a seasoned at-home mixologist or a curious beginner, this class is designed to elevate your bartending skills. Our expert instructor will guide you through the art of mixing, shaking, and garnishing a variety of delicious cocktails using a wide range of spirits and fresh ingredients.

  • You'll create 2 signature tequila and 2 Signature rum-based cocktails from The Commentary. Paired with 3 signature small bites!

HVMANE Studios Open House (Waverly Hills)

Sunday, February 2nd

  • 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Punch Bowl Social Arlington (doors open at 11:00 am)

  • Don't miss performances from your absolutely fabulous host Raven Samore with special guests Brianna Diamond Samore and Katja A Tennshun while you sip on cocktails and enjoy our Brunch Club menu. This high-energy brunch party promises non-stop entertainment, laughter, and a vibrant atmosphere.

  • Tickets include entry to the drag show, brunch menu & drinks for purchase, and $5 mimosa deals. Individual tickets are $12 per person, group tickets are $10 per person.

Monday, February 3rd

  • 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm at The Board Room

  • Beer Run Comedy, stand up comedy at its finest, presents their monthly series. The show will be headlined by Al Barnes (The Port Comedy Club, Drive Time Podcast) and feature Jenny Questell (The Kennedy Center). Tickets are $20 online, and $25 at the door. Hosted by Anthony "Ace" Jackson

An Evening of Stand-Up Comedy (National Landing)

  • 7:30 pm at Alamo Drafthouse in Crystal City

  • Join us on the first Monday of every month for in-theater stand-up showcasing the DMV’s most hilarious comics. Each event consists of four sets (roughly 90 minutes) of rib-tickling comedy.

  • This show will feature Jenny Questell, Jasmine Burton, Winston Hodges and more.

  • Tickets are $16 each.
