Many holiday movies, a comedy show, and an artist talk.
Events & Happenings Dates
Hello,
I hope you’ve been staying warm and cozy! There are some fun events this week, including several holiday film events. I know the holidays can be a tough time of year, so I hope you’re taking care of yourselves and your loved ones.
I’ve also put together a short list of some ways to support your neighbors:
Donate to Arlington Food Assistance Center to help feed our neighbors.
Donate to Animal Welfare League of Arlington and consider fostering or adopting!
Pick up trash in your neighborhood.
Donate money to someone or buy them food.
Shop at a local business. This week, I shopped at Lemoncello, Arrowine, Le Village Marche, The Brew Shop, and Covet.
Donate to Rossana’s Kickstarter to make their truck electric and ditch their generator!
Tip more than 20% and consider tipping people who provide services to you year-round such as your mail carrier, building managers, office staff, etc!
Let’s have a great week!

Black Christmas (1974) (National Landing/Crystal City)
7:30 pm at Alamo Drafthouse Crystal City
One part frosty Christmas atmosphere, one part stalk ‘n’ slash magnificence, and all parts awesome, BLACK CHRISTMAS is a timeless, terrifying, and demented holiday tradition. When sorority sisters Olivia Hussey (ROMEO & JULIET), Margot Kidder (SUPERMAN), and Andrea Martin (SCTV ) are under attack from a vicious potty-mouthed killer, it’s up to police chief John Saxon to even the odds. But what about Keir Dullea (2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY), the brooding art-school pianist? Could he have something to do with the Christmas rampage? Years before he crafted the ultimate comedic yuletime experience A CHRISTMAS STORY, genre pioneer Bob Clark gave us one of the most influential Hitchcockian slashers of all time: BLACK CHRISTMAS
